Summer and prime tourist season are over, and if you ask a local, he will tell you that October and November are, without a doubt, the best time of year on the Emerald Coast. Not only is it still plenty warm to go to the beach and catch a few rays, but there are also plenty of events still happening.

Here are this week's Top 3:

1. Trebeache Concert: An Evening with Grateful Dead

2. 30A Half Marathon and 5K

The first ever 30A Half Marathon and 5K will take place October 21-23, 2016. The weekend of activities in South Walton, Florida will benefit The Sonder Project.

Race day is Sunday, Oct. 23 beginning at 7am. It will begin and end at The Hub in Seagrove Beach, and will feature coastal beauty of Scenic 30A along the way. The race will start and end at The HUB with a turnaround at Grayton Beach State Park.

Festivities will kick off race weekend on Friday night and the fun won't stop until Sunday afternoon. If you're looking for an exciting weekend at the beach, this is one event you won't want to miss!
